Maple Wood Catering is led by Jay “Jurhan” Sherifoski, a Connecticut-based chef with deep Italian kitchen roots and a commitment to fresh, made-to-order catering.
After spending more than 20 years working in professional kitchens across Connecticut, Jurhan developed a reputation for consistency, quality, and respect for ingredients. He began his career as a teenager washing dishes and worked his way through the kitchen, learning every station and every detail of the craft along the way.
In recent years, he spent five years refining operations and consistency inside a well-known Italian kitchen in Beacon Falls—an experience that helped shape the standards he now brings to his own catering company.
